Viola, Forest's wife

I just finished Viola this morning. It seemed to me that Forest needed a wife. Plus I got to practice trying to hide the seams on the body. So far the best option is clothes (lol). But I'll keep working on it before I start putting skin to the angel.  Before she had clothes, my son was a little freaked out with the creepy naked old lady laying on the kitchen table.
Viola's eBay auction starts tonight at 6:45 PM PDT.

These are adorable, Robin! So beautiful, and so much character in the faces!

Hi Tinki, I first needle felt them over wire. Then I color them with layers of dyed felt. I next paint them with archival artists inks. Finally, I sew nylon stocking material over them.

Thanks, Janie :-)

trop beaux. Ils ont tous les deux l'air de sortir directement du livre "gnomes".
Très très beau travail

Thank you :-) I do love Rein Poortvtliet's art. His Gnome illustrations were the inspiration for these guys. I so into the process that I forgot to give him credit.
